Behaviour Change Initiative in Uganda is a multifaceted program designed to address critical sexual and reproductive health challenges. With a primary focus on mitigating teenage pregnancy, the initiative encompasses a broader spectrum of services including tackling sexually transmitted infections/diseases (STI/Ds), raising awareness about HIV/AIDS, providing adolescent and youth counselling, delivering family planning services, promoting sexual and menstrual hygiene, fostering empowerment through skill development and entrepreneurship, and facilitating information dissemination. The initiative's reach extends across Uganda, with a strategic phased implementation plan that prioritizes regions and districts facing heightened reproductive health issues.
Targeted Phases:The initiative operates through distinct phases, ensuring efficient resource utilization, capacity building, and a systematic approach to implementation.
Regional and District Focus: Implementation is organized regionally and at the district level, acknowledging the uniqueness of each area's challenges and needs.
Priority Allocation: High-prevalence regions take precedence, reflecting a strategic allocation of resources to maximize impact where it is most needed.
